Suddenly, one protester at the back of the crowd was snatched and beaten up by five thugs.
The rest of the protesters that tried to help were thrown with rocks and attacked by thugs carrying machetes and knives.
They chased, beat and stomped the protesters who were mostly women and female students. Shots were heard coming from the police that dispersed the masses.
